New generation Volkswagen Tiguan launched

The C-size SUV is developed on a new platform, with a changed appearance, many powertrain options, and increased battery capacity.

Volkswagen introduces the first new generation Tiguan to the European market. The C-size SUV has a new design, softer than the previous generation. Tiguan competes with the Honda CR-V , Mazda CX-5 and Toyota RAV4 on the old continent.

The grille of the Tiguan 2024 is stratified with a large lower part. The grille is separated from the front bumper by a chrome bar. The car is fitted with LED matrix IQ headlights. The LED taillights are horizontal and connected across the entire width and the black rear bumper is decorated with chrome details, similar to the front bumper.

New interior design. The car uses a technology seat that the company calls ergoActive Plus, with 4-way pneumatic lumbar adjustment and integrated massage feature. Digitally inspired cabin, 10.25-inch display cluster and 15-inch high-resolution entertainment touchscreen.

Tiguan 2024 is equipped with a new generation HUD head-up display, a driving experience control system on the center console with its own OLED screen. This screen controls drive modes, radio volume or the color of the interior ambient lighting. The vehicle supports IDA voice commands, allowing it to handle many functions.

The gear lever on the new generation Tiguan is placed on the steering wheel, similar to the Volkswagen ID or Passat. The traditional gear lever position is replaced by a rotary knob to switch driving modes.

The 2024 Tiguan offers a variety of powertrain options, from diesel (TDI), turbocharged gasoline (TSI) to mild hybrid (sTSI) and plug-in hybrid (eHybrid). The new eHybrid system offers an all-electric range of around 100 km and supports AC fast charging and DC charging as standard for the first time.

The German automaker equips the Tiguan 2024 with a new Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) adaptive suspension system, with the option of a more advanced Pro version with two-valve dampers. The vehicle dynamic management system is equipped for the first time in standard form, like the Volkswagen Golf GTI - allowing control of the functions of the XDS electronic differential lock and DCC system.

Tiguan 2024 has standard driving assistance systems such as automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, lane monitoring camera, and traffic sign recognition. There is also a remote parking assist system (controlled by the driver from outside using a smartphone app) and towing assist.
