Russian girl is touched by the love of Americans on graduation day

Russian international student Molchanova was "unspeakable" as she was congratulated by many Americans on the street when she wore her graduation gown.

"The greatness of Americans cannot be expressed in words," Russian girl Daria Molchanova, studying for a master's degree at the University of Colorado, Colorado, USA, shared on TikTok about being loved by people she doesn't know on the internet. The street sends greetings on graduation day in mid-May.

Molchanova said that as she was walking home, still wearing her graduation gown, strangers who met her on the street said "Congratulations!" or shout for joy. Some people even leaned out of the car window to wave, honking their horns to congratulate her.

"It was priceless. Before coming to the US , I heard that Americans are fake, their smiles are not genuine. But for me, those wishes are very sincere," Molchanova said.

The video shared by Molchanova has received more than 600,000 views, more than 100,000 likes and thousands of comments, mainly sharing views on American culture.

"My relatives in other countries think it's weird to talk to strangers. But in the US, it's normal to talk to strangers," one TikTok account commented.

Others also shared that Americans are not afraid to express their love for others, especially those who have just achieved something in life.

"We are not perfect, but we love successful people and are ready to show it. Congratulations," @Timeavey account commented under Molchanova's video.

Molchanova graduated from Moscow University of Culture and Arts and earned a doctorate in Russian history in her homeland, before getting a certificate to teach Russian in the United States. She founded an online Russian language teaching platform, teaching thousands of students from 75 countries.

Although relations between Washington and Moscow have been strained recently due to the Ukraine crisis, Molchanova regularly posts videos on TikTok about Russian culture, history and life in the US, attracting thousands of views and comments.
